Question about updating programs

I just received news that my research project has been accepted for an oral presentation at a conference. How should I go about updating programs? Do I email the PD or the program coordinator? I am unsure about the etiquette regarding updates.

I mean if you really think it makes a difference you could send them an email. I doubt they really care at this point.

I would update programs about Step scores or other more serious things.

What kind of conference?

The annual meeting of the national specialty society that you're applying to? Yeah...maybe an email to the PCs at your top 3 programs.

A local/regional meeting in an unrelated specialty? Good for you, nice work, your mom will be proud.
