I am hoping to apply to DO school for the FALL 2011 semester.

So that means that AACOMAS opens up around MAY 1 2010 for Fall 2011. (So Ive been told)

I am going to take my MCAT on May 27 2010.

I want to apply to NYCOM which is my first choice. Their deadline is February 1, I believe.

So if I applied in May 2010 then the deadline for Fall 2011 would be February 2011.

If I take classes this summer 2010, and classes Fall 2010 can I send it to AACOMAS and have them update my transcript. If I get wait listed perhaps it will move me up the ranks?

When you are wait listed when do you usually find out?

Also in updating your transcript do you need to send any schools a letter telling them of your updated transcript?

Thank you guys very much

When you fill out AACOMAS, you can put future planned classes and then you send transcripts to update your gpa. AACOMAS typically updates the schools, but you could send out a letter that details this if you so choose. Waitlists at schools aren't always ranked in the sense that you can skip ahead of other people. I don't know how NYCOM's list is done though. You find out you were waitlisted or accepted typically 2 weeks+/- a few days after your interview.
