Question about UPenn

Hi guys,

I'm interested in applying to UPenn. From what I hear/see on here and the stats on their website, I understand it's a top school and I guess hard to get into..? I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on your experience (or that of someone you know) with the school, the program, environment, faculty (really important for me to have good profs who encourage rather than be all tough-love and strip all your confidence lol.. I've heard some stories about bad experiences with dental school faculty, not necessarily at UPenn though); etc.
I would love to hear from those who have been at UPenn for a visit/interview, who have studied there, or even those who are interested in applying like me. I don't know if it's too late to apply there (I was kinda iffy about my chances..) but now I would really like to. Any thoughts about the schools (seems great to me) would be greatly appreciated.
As well, if you think I wouldn't stand a chance (GPA ~3.3-3.4) please let me know.

Incoming August 2011 class had a mean overall G.P.A. of 3.61, mean science G.P.A. of 3.55, mean DAT academic of 21, mean DAT PAT of 21, mean DAT reading comprehension of 21, and mean DAT total science of 21.

Yes, I saw those stats, which is why I was iffy at first.. but I'm really considering it because I've had a 4.0 average in my latest couple of years, so maybe they'd be okay with my lower overall GPA..

Anyway, what do you think about the school as a whole? (the longer part of my question lol)

The interview is very laid back and conversational. Definitely express interest in something about the school though. We have lots of community service, research, specialty opportunities...don't just throw Penn on the application list or it will show. Identify something you like and talk about your involvement.
