FFICIAL MCAT OR GRE SCORE REPORTS
(COMPLETED WITHIN 5 YRS OF MATRICULATION)

A student score report should be requested by the applicant and sent to the applicant’s home address. When the envelope is received, do not open it. Include this unopened score report in the single application packet. You may request a score report to be sent from MCAT/GRE agency directly to WesternU (GRE Institution Code: 4152 & Department Code: 0617)."

This is directly from Western's supplemental application checklist. My question is: Is this statement saying that you HAVE to include the GRE test scores in your supplemental packet or is it ok to have ETS send the scores to Western and you then do not have to include them in the supplemental packet? For some reason the statement is not very clear to me right now...I think it might be the stress of this whole process. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. 😀

I don't know; I was actually going to call them about that today, because I requested them to be sent when I took the GRE. Also, this may be a stupid question, but when they send your GRE scores (when requested at the test), do they send ALL of you scores including from past tests?

I just emailed them about this a few days ago. Its worded poorly.

Here's their response: "Yes, you can either have them sent here by the service or include your scores in your packet. No you don’t have to indicate anything, once we receive your application we will check our files and locate your documents!"

Thanks Trocar! I had them sent by ETS and I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to be $20 for them to send them to me just so I can forward them to Western. I have already spent so much $$ on this process that I am trying to save as much as I can.

I called ETS to make sure that the scores they send include all of the scores from the past 5 years and they lady I spoke with said that all tests taken within the past 5 years will be included on the score report that is sent out to the schools and to you. 🙂

however, if your name has changed between previous tests, you have to call ETS and have them locate the previous test under your former last name and have those manually sent to each school. I had to do this. It wasn't bad (they did it over the phone for me), but I just wanted to make sure others knew of this circumstance. 🙂

Honestly everything I sent to western last year was in a different envelope. lol. The only thing I sent directly was the supplemental app. My transcripts came directly from my schools, the gre from the company, etc. As long as you get everything there you should be fine.

I had to do this because I changed addresses. 🙄
