If you had a 21 MCAT score and a 3.7 gpa which osteopathic schools would you recommend applying to. The reason my MCAT score is low is because I had a death in the family yet I would rather not pass up this application cycle by not applying at all. I am from California and any help would be appreciated.

Pikeville or
West Virginia

Their average mcat of matriculants isn't much above that...so they take 21s...and your gpa is solid.

I would apply to the schools in your state. In addition, I'd apply to Pikesville, New England, AZCOM, KCOM, New York, and West Virgina.

Include the information about the death in the family on your application.

Be prepared to take the MCAT in April, as you may not know of an acceptance until it is too late to register.
