Question for current dental students

how easy is the process to apply for and gain living expense loans?

how are the funds distributed?

how much can you borrow?

lets say I need a large chunk of change for moving, depositing on rent, furnishing and or whatever fees associated with moving to a new city closer to the school in june-july, but classes are not starting till august. Can we get an "advance" to cover it?

You could probably take out a loan yourself with your bank but I know that federal loans aren't disbursed until after schools starts so you wouldn't have them for moving expenses. I've been saving for a few months now because at interviews they said you need $3000 to 5000 in start-up expenses before your loan gets there.
