Neutral 5500k, is a slightly brighter light and will give truer color matches when selecting shades.

LumaDent users: Neutral (5500K) or Warm (4500K) color light? Why?

Headlight Color Temperature

I have the neutral and love it. I know several of my classmates who got the warm were very dissatisfied by it because it just isn't as bright. I know they say that the warm is better for your eyes and causes less fatigue, but I haven't noticed any eye fatigue since I started using LumaDent 2 years ago. And I do think the neutral gives better shade match, I found that with the warm, I always tended to err on the more yellow side when picking shade.
