Hello,

I have a question for Podiatry students and Physcians. Throughout my years I have had some problems with my feet/ankles, as it so seems to me. However, it seems that it would be quite an expense on my part to go see a Podiatrist. I am aware that Dental Schools often offer services to patients at cheaper prices because a student performs procedure/care/cosultation. This is also true for Cosmetology (Hair/Nails etc) school as well.

Do Podiatry schools offer discounted prices to patients? This would be helpful if so. Thank You.

if youre a student you may get free care
however, if youre the general public, im not sure, but i dont think so.... schools have clinics that accept insurance and self pays, which are probably cheaper than most private practices but i doubt by much

oh yea...
PS - there are only 8 schools in the nation (soon to be 9) so the availability of clinics is limited geographically

but if youre in a city with a school clinic, call up and ask

Thank you very much for the help DPMstudent. 🙂
