Question For Those With Columbia Interviews

I received an interview invite e-mail from Columbia U yesterday, however I'm not 100% clear on how we're supposed to schedule it.

Please email the Admissions Office at [email protected], to schedule your interview. Be sure to indicate INTERVIEW REQUEST in the subject heading. Your request is not approved until you receive a confirmation email back from us when you email. Interview dates are limited and assigned on a first come-first served basis. Interviews are held on Fridays only.

Are we supposed to e-mail them a date? Or, do we e-mail them requesting an interview and they assign us a date? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help🙂

You email them with possible dates, and they'll email you back with a final date. I just gave them every Friday in September and they sent me back an email saying im scheduled for the the 16th. Good luck!

I was confused about that too. I suggested a date, since they mentioned that their interviews are only on Fridays, and the header of the return email should be "interview request" - I'm guessing by "request" your supposed to request a date. I'll update you if I hear back from them.

I emailed them back asking for any dates in September and they gave me a random Friday. Diana, who is one of the people who work there, is really fast at responses. It took me less than 30 minutes after initial email to confirm an interview date.

I sent out the interview request email about ten minutes after I received the original email. Their office seems to be open till after 5 or something
