How are you backing up your notes and audio in case your computer crashes. I want to be able to read the documents on other computers without onenote and to convert the audio of lecture to mp3 to put on my ipod. i tried sending an email to my gmail thru outlook but it didnt work. however when i used outlook to send a test email, it did work. thanks for your help.

I have 2 1gig SD cards (one for 1st year material) and one for this year. You may need more memory depending on how much audio you go for. I just set it to auto backup every three days.

As far a reading w/o onenote, select the pages you want to use, and under file select publish pages. The format is save as a single file web page, rather a image I would say that should open with any web browser.

If you have heavy things ( like using more than 5 GB ) You can buy an external Hard Drive such as this
(( Sony VAIO VGP-UHDP04 Ultra-Portable Hard Drive with Security Hard Drive ))

If less .. Try have Flash memory for 2 GB

You can also Buy a CD/or DVD writer
and constantly Up-to-Date your files in CDs/DVDs

If you want to upload your stuff on the net (and dont want them to be removed ... ever ) .. try the gmail (for 10mbs) OR the googlepages (for 100 mb )
