Psych section question 22.
I understand why B is the answer but don't see why C is eliminated. The explanation they give isn't very satisfying either. Can anyone who has taken this exam already give any insight?

I approached this question by looking at it as if they were asking me HOW to design an experiment based on the new hypothesis. The first part of the original study did not have the goal of making the child frustrated, so it would not accurately test the hypothesis that frustration causes aggression. The new added change of telling a child that they can't play with an exciting toy would cause frustration and then they could measure how likely the frustrated child would be to "help" or "hurt" the child in the other room.

I thought this was a pretty poorly worded question as well, but as @Nucleophile1 said, getting it right depends on how you interpret it. They are asking you to create an almost entirely new experiment design (considerably change your initial experiment, stem is misleading) to introduce frustration. The most important thing in this question is that the original experiment did not introduce frustration. Once you realize that, it's a complete no-brainer that B is the answer. Immediately erase C/D because the original experiment did not cause frustration. A is some sort of gender-based phony workup that really doesn't point towards frustration.
