Hi guys.
I'd appreciate answers to the following question from people who've been on adcoms though any response is appreciated.
In college most of my science courses were the advanced ones. do adcoms look at transcripts well enough to notice this on their own or do I have to point it out?
The reason I'm asking is because these classes covered alot more material and in more depth than other classes. We were always warned before taking them that the workload was alot more, and the grading alot worse than the regular science courses. The classes were about 1/10th the size of the regular courses and in some cases covered in one semester what everybody else did in a year.
Needless to say, most premeds avoided these courses and needless to say, my grades here weren't the straight A's the other premeds were getting. If on the transcript the classes are named 'advanced such and such' will the adcoms realize the significance, or do I have to find somewhere like in my essay to highlight this? Thanks.
