Im a 3rd year really looking into Emergency Medicine. In my area there are two places that have residency's that we can rotate at. My school requires a core rotation and has the option for a sub I also. My question is that if I do my required rotation at one and a sub I at another should I do an away at all? I know you can try an away if you want to go somewhere else, but right now I have no idea where I want to go. I am not originally from this area so I really have no ties to it, and there is not a residency back home. So as far as convenience it would just be easiest to do the two here and get SLOR's from both as I don't really care where I go I will probably just choose a place that I fell like I fit. Would it be beneficial to do an away somewhere just to show programs that I am willing to leave my current area? Or should I just do what is convenient and just do the two here?
