I just got a letter asking me to make an appointment with the Student Admission Committee of University of Buffalo. First off let me just say that I am as happy as hell to receive a letter from them. But I got a question, they ask me to call them to make appointment, I thought they sent you a date, since most of the other thread show that a specific date were given, does everyone call and ask for a date?
This is the first letter that I got, and Buffalo is my top choice so I want to make sure I got everything right.
O and also on the letter it said that I will need to write a writing sample during that day? For those who got this letter what are they gonna ask to writing about? The basic stuff or detail stuff?

If the letter says to call, call...don't worry about the writing sample, if you speak english you will do fine...hell, even if you don't speak very good english, you will do fine

Hey Congrats!
Call them ASAP and they will tell you what days are open, then you chose what is best for you.
The writing sample is a 10 min sample on a topic that you'll probably be able to write about pretty readily. They change all the time, so I can't tell you what topic you'll get perse.. Just don't spend too much time thinking about what you want to write--just write. 10 min is def enough to fill the page or so that they give you.
Good luck!

well as an ESL I dun really worry about my communication skill, all I really worry about it the writing part since I alway take mad long to write. If I do it fast my grammar is ....

I just got a actual date of interview, Feb 1, so excited now.
After the call I realize something weird, they didn't ask me for my AADSAS ID#, just my name, I hope I am the only one go by that name that they are accepting, since I already know 3 friends with the same name (first n last) around me. lol

Why would they ask you for your id#? It is right there on the top of the page that they got your phone number off of when they called you to invite you to an interview

In my case they just send a letter to me, asking me to call them
anyway when called i asked, they said they dun need
