Okay I am little confused...on one of the questions on the Pearson practice test chemistry section. It asks about meta, ortho, and para...I thought m- was 1,3, o- was 1,2 and p- was 1,4. But in the explanation part it says para is 1,2??

Did you really have to make a post about this?

Wouldn't it be faster to just google the positions of disubstituted benzenes and find out for yourself?

o = 1,2
m= 1,3
p= 1,4

its for disubstituted aromatic compounds only, not much else to tell you.
