I have a question on calculating my GPA using AADSAS's methods and I'd appreciate any help! So, I understand that the number of credit hours factors into the calculation. However, at my college all of the credit hours are listed as 1.000, regardless of the course type. For example, my physics course with a lab is listed on my transcript as 1.000 credit hours and my public speaking course obviously with no lab is also listed as 1.000 credit hours. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, how are you calculating this? Thank you!

Put it down as 4.0

My school does the same, so I put 1.0 for the courses, but it was all changed to 4.0

My school counts each class at 1 credit too.

When I ordered an official transcript for myself (I wanted to see what it looked like lol), I noticed that one of the things written on it was something along the lines of: X college's 1 credit = 4 credit hours at most other institutions.

Of course I can't say for sure whether it applies the exact same way for you, so I suggest calling your school's registrar to ask. That should take only 5 min and you'll have an official answer from your school.

My small liberal arts school did the same thing including the classes with labs. Maybe we went to the same school? I called AADSAS and they said list it as 4.0 (also the back of my transcript from this school suggests that 1.00 unit is 4.00 credits).

Okay, thanks for the input! And I thought it was unique to my school (which is not Wesleyan!) so I'm glad to hear it's not.
