Ok, I have a question..

Lets say I submit my AADSAS app. in mid-may and plan on giving the DAT as early as I can (in late May).

In case I have to take it again, I can take it again in September.

Now, say my first May DAT score wasnt too great... Won't schools judge me on my first score and just give me a rejection? OR would they wait for my 2nd (september) score if I ask them to wait? Basically, can I send them my better 2nd DAT score and be judged on that or will only my 1st DAT be looked at?

I always wondered about this. If anyone knows.. Thanks

Your second score will help you out quite a bit if you show significant improvement. However, if you score a 14 the first time around and three months later get a 15 it won't look that great. If you feel you really can do better than you should definatly retake it. They do see both scores and consider them both.
It's very important to get aadsas done early, but it's not always wise to rush the dat. I would plan on only taking it once unless you really think you need to retake it. Take plenty of practice tests so you have a good feel for where you are and take it when you're ready to get a good score.

Also, before you decide to retake the DAT, you should call each school you applied to and see if they really think you need to. If you end up deciding to retaking the DAT, make sure the schools know so they can expect your new (and improved) scores before making a final assessment.
