Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and this is my very first post! 🙂

1. I'm a little confused about this "disadvantaged status" section and was wondering if anyone would mind to share some information on who should consider filling this section out? If I identify myself as financially disadvantaged, but nothing catastrophic ever happened in my life, should I just skip this section then?

2. Another question is regarding the "Extracurricular/Volunteer/Community Service" part. I did research for a phD student through undergrad research program at my school. Can I list it as a volunteer experience in that section? Also, I'd shadowed a physician and a physical therapist while at school (used to be a pre-med...). Would those two count as extracurricular/volunteer even though they're related to other health care fields?

Any comments would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I think you can def. list it as an extracurricular, which is a plus! I have a question though, would having a speech deficiency like a stutter be considered a disadvantaged status? (for anyone who knows lol!)

You would list the research under the "Research Experience" and mark the position type as "Volunteer" rather than it go in any of the other sections.
I would leave off shadowing of any non-Dental profession.
