question on personal statement

Just a quick question, I re-took one of my organic chemistry classes, and achieved a 4.0 upon retaking it, should I talk about that in my personal statement and explain why I didn't pass the class the first time that I took it? Where else would I talk about this?

IMO, including that in your personal statement would be a waste of space. they can already see that you have new grade from looking at your transcript so trying to explain why and how it happened would be a waste of time (you can do that during your interview probably). I would say, include what changed you or motivated you this year compared to last year but do not go into much details about just one class
