I recently started my AADSAS, and I have most of it done. However, I am entering specifics/descriptions for my extracurriculars and work history, and I have run into a bit of a snag.

I rowed crew for the majority of my time as an undergraduate. I'm not sure of the exact hour commitment, but I'm estimating it was about 10 hours a week between practice/time on water/regattas. Will this be sufficiently detailed? I can't really remember it exactly because our practice schedule varied so much.

Similarly, I don't have the exact number of hours worked for a few past jobs (lost W4's and it was 2+ years ago. Would an approximate number be acceptable?

Yes, approximates are fine. They're not going to audit you, they just want a general understanding of how you spend your time.

Glad to hear it--this is what I did. However, does anybody think it might look a bit weird that I have over 1000 hours involved in a non-work activity? I was in a sport since my freshman year (all terms) varsity, and I estimated about 10 hours a week (not accounting for events/competitions) throughout my time as an undergraduate.

No, adcom knows that sports can take up a lot of students' time.

Most sports would take up more time than that so no, it wouldn't be weird. Varsity athlete here, practice is 2-3 hours/day and tournaments are 6-7 hours for warm-ups and play pretty much year round. Then add in weights, running, etc. That's over 1000 hours each year for me.

Glad to hear it--it was a huge part of my undergraduate experience and taught me a lot about persistence and dedication.
