Hello! I am a Rutgers undergrad student here. I am taking a gap year in between graduating and going to dental school and I figured I would take some classes during that time. I was going to take anat/phys and microbio to "expand my application horizon". Anyone here at RU (or I suppose an outside opinion could help as well) have any suggestions on whether I should take those classes at RU or should I take them at Middlesex County College? I know that anat/phys at RU is notoriously brutal....The classes taken at Middlesex would certainly be cheaper. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you 🙂

Rutgers grad student here: If you're planning to apply to Rutgers for dental school and end up taking the class(es) at Middlesex County College, they may bring that up should you get an interview to ask why you didn't take it at Rutgers. If you don't plan to apply there then just take it at MCC...I mean, why flirt with disaster if you know the class at Rutgers is brutal?

Thanks for your response! I actually can't take it at Rutgers anyway... I spoke with a dean. Since I'm graduating I would have to reenroll as a nonmatriculating student which would not be an issue....However, the anat & phys class is reserved for nursing students. In terms of registration, I'd be all the way at the bottom of totem poll even behind newly entering freshmen. The dean basically said "good luck trying to get into the class".
