Hey guys

I am hoping to write the USMLE sometime this year. I am aiming to score at least 230 and hopefully more towards 250.

I was wondering what my strategy should be in terms of 1) books to study in order and 2) time to spend and any other tips would be helpful.

I have about 3-4 weeks holiday and then will have to study while doing duty as a resident. How much total would I need to attain such a score?

I THINK this is the order I should study in?
1. First Aid
2. Kaplan Q book, then Kaplan books (not sure which books of the course books I can eliminate)
3. others?

Thanks

I think the best thing you can do in terms of study materials is find what works for you. Find a book that has the layout, amount of pictures/diagrams/tables etc that YOU like. Everyone has a different preference when it comes to this.

For me, I did not like First Aid at all, but loved the Kaplan review books.
