Have any of you started watching the videos, without doing the Part 1 questions?

I just purchased the step 1 program and got a ton of questions in a pdf file, looks like it will take a few days to plough through these questions.

I have read FA twice, so I figure I should be able to get started with the videos by thurs may 27... about 1 month to my step 1 date.

I probably will endup doing the questions along side the videos.. it was just too much extra for me to deal with Jan through now ontop of course work.. So i have a queue of like 3 months of that stuff.

i asked them about it and she said many students wait until the course to do the questions so you are not out of the norm here.

There is no need to do all of those questions. They are intended to help prepare you for the course, but all of that material will be covered. They may serve as a good review for you though.

yea i would say do those question only if u really have time to, but there are plenty of questions integrated into the course and if you stop to do those and listen to all the lectures for the day it takes about 5-6 hrs. So I would say your better off using extra time to review the info in FA u covered and doing questions from a question bank since they are vignette style and DIT part I questions are not

I have another question for those currently taking the course, do u see any improvement in practise exams (nbme/free 150, etc)?

On my school CBSE i had a 185 projection, and then last week i took the free 150 and got 198. So Im hoping to push for 220 with DIT. I have 4.5 weeks to my exam date, is this a plausible goal?

it has helped me, hard to tell how much, but march cbse 208, early april nbme2 218, after wk 1 of dit nbme 6 - 234, just started wk 3 today

so there was a decent amount of time between nbme 2 and 6 but i know there are plenty of questions i have gotten right cause of things i have seen with DIT, it is a good course in my opinion

A 220 is definitely doable with DIT. Just do it to the fullest. Half way through the course, took my first NBME and got a 225. I was way above average in all of the stuff that we've covered in DIT (and way below on the all the stuff we haven't). Kinda tells me its working. Good luck bro. 🙂
