Hi
I have a question regarding mitosis
Some books say that cytokinesis begins during the later stages of mitosis
Whereas in cliff's it says it begins during telophase

Which is correct?

Thank you in advance!! :highfive:

telophase is the last stage of mitosis. two daughter nuclei are visible and the cleavage furrow forms. cytokinesis is just the division of the cytoplasm, but yes, it begins during late telophase. This is confusing but oh well - biologists like to make everything as complicated as possible.
