I just took my first topscore test... my actual test date is set for around 6 weeks from today...

i didnt do too bad... still need to cover some topics.. but these are some qustionss i need to ask::

The bio and GC sections didnt cover a lot of topics - like no classification questions nor were there any spontaneity questions....
is it possible that that could happen on the real, or am I more likely to see at least one question and each topic?

secondly.... after taking the test, how do i review the test material?... it is possible right?!:scared:

and uhh the topscore program uses the exact format for the real test?
like in RC the article is provided under the question? that was the biggest relief to me!

anywayz thanks for the responses

Maybe I can answer your questions from my experience of taking the first two topscore tests and taking the DAT.

There is a very good chance your actual DAT will have classification questions (i'm assuming you mean classification of animals into genus, species, etc.) I'm not sure what you mean by spontaneity questions. If you are referring to delta G and delta H and delta S stuff, you should definitely be familiar with them.

I used topscore just a few days before the test and didn't have time or desire to review the test, but I am pretty sure you could just retake the same test and knowing what you missed look at the answer for each one (i'm pretty sure there is a button to reveal an answer and possibly an explanation).

The topscore format is the same format as the real test, but unfortunately the real test does not have features like click N for next or P for previous, which were very helpful. You can select A, B, C, or D using the keyboard, but you have to use your mouse to go forward and backwards, kind of a pain.

The RC seemed the best preparation for RC I saw anywhere. The question types seemed very similar.

FYI, my topscore scores were just a tad lower in the sciences and right on with the other sections when compared to the actual DAT. So it seemed for me to be a good indicator.

You might save the other two topscores for when you get closer to the test because I found it a great way to prep for the test the week of. But of course, I had other materials to study such as Kaplan blue book and DAT destroyer and the Topscore was a good simulation of test environment.
