Hey everyone, I submitted my application on July 21st. I was worried at first, but not really anymore thanks to the awesome advice. I recieved an email that my application is under review, and I am prewriting my secondaries right now. The thing is, when I check the AMCAS tracker, they are only on June 20th submission. At this rate, my application will be fully reviewed mid-September. I thought it would be done by August. Pretty depressing. Are there way more applicants than before? Unsure why it is taking so long. At least I am done with TMSDAS a few days ago, I'll take that as a win.

There is a large majority of amount of applicants that apply in June so it takes them much longer to verify the initial batch. So the rate will speed up once they clear through the initial June applications.

What conspiracy theories are coming from reddit?

I don't know if there are more applicants now than before. Check the 2020-2021 curve, which is the last known cycle with a record high number of applications. They are looking comparable, so it's possible. We also don't know if there is something going on internally. But as pointed out, there's not much you can do.

There is nothing you can do. Trust the process. I've been working within the system for 25 years. We now have ways to electronically sort and pull applications regardless of when they arrive... it doesn't have to be first in-first out and your application will be screened, you will be sent for review, and you will get interviews. You might not get them until December, but you will get them if you are strong enough as an applicant to get to the top of the staircase.

I'm hoping, thank you. I'm freaking out every day thinking about this. I will submit instantly as soon as my secondaries arrive.

Looks like the curve is finally starting to flatten out on AMCAS Tracker.

Still around 45 days though.
45 days wow.

I have a question: Is it possible for the 45 days to go down, or is it just stuck at 45 days? I'm more hopeful now.

Thank you for this advice.
