The extent to which it matters is so small compared to what you actually score. Take it when you are most comfortable and do well on it.

Oh, I already took it in August 2012. Got a 34Q. Most would advice me not to retake it, and I do not plan to retake it even if I have to reapply. I just wanted to know if admissions will view that 34Q any less valid if I reapply in 2014 as opposed to applying in 2013.

Nope, you did well so stop worrying about it. Make sure the rest of your app is up to snuff, apply broadly and you will get an acceptance.
