1) Did you guys find it hard to recognize what the question is asking for on the real DAT? I heard some people say the questions are worded weird and you have to re-read them several times to understand exactly what they are looking for.

For example on Chad's quizzes, everything is just straightforward and you pretty much know what the question is asking for and what "type" of question it is.

2) Were there any questions that you have never encountered before? (and if so were there a lot?)

3) What were some things that were different on the real DAT than practice tests? Anything that threw you off?

I get bad test anxiety and I just wanna make sure to prepare myself well with practice tests and not have any "surprises" on the real thing. Please share any tips that might help me out! Thank you.

No, I felt the questions were very straight forward in comparison to other times I took it. The key to this is doing lots and lots of practice problems simply because you soon become familiar with the different ways of asking specific thing. I mean sure you are nervous and I did spend more time than I should have on biology because I was rereading the questions, but honestly they were all straight forward for all the sciences. Wish you the best and my advice to you is do a lot of practice problems. I did dat destroyer, all of datqvault, and bootcamp.

1) Felt straightforward to me, maybe a few questions that had to be reread.

2) Not never encountered, but topics I didn't emphasize for sure, obviously couldn't remember anything.

3) Timing on PAT and QR sections were definitely more limited that I thought they were, if you work slow, you will definitely not finish IMO. Timing on RC/Science were more than enough.
