An acquaintance of mine had his medical license placed on probation with a restriction of not being able to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances. He has not practiced anesthesia for several years and was wondering if could, given the restriction on prescribing. Thanks for any insight.

Just thinking pragmatically - no rx for any IV pain meds. That means inpatient and outpatient.

Maybe a GI center and just be propofol monkey. Can’t supervise CRNAs because if they give those meds they are doing it under his license (which isn’t allowed)
