What brings me here to the StudentDoctor.net forums is the need of advice and guidance. I am currently a senior class of 2006, studying pre-med at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I have taken the MCATs once but did not do so well, and was wondering if you guys could inform/guide me in regards to Post BCC programs around the nation which could eventually lead me to medical school, depending on good grades of course, which wont be a problem on my part. VCU offers masters programs and certificate programs but I would like to do more research on other schools that offer programs that pretty much get you into their medical school and or aid you with your application process and acceptance probabilities. I have heard that if one goes through graduate school then applies to medical school, it is not as hard to get accepted. My GPA is not excellent but its not bad either, but I know that my MCAT will improve this upcoming spring 2006, because I am putting a lot of time and effort into it, for the 2nd time around. What are some schools I can look into for a post graduate program-medical school path? And when should I apply? I will be a senior this upcoming fall, 2005-2006 and graduate 2006 and would like to enter medical school 2007. I would rather do one year but please let me know what to look into, and how to look into. If you know a particular person who had first hand experience with going through grad school and or a certificate program then medical school because of his or her MCAT scores, please let me know, thanks guys. I hope everyone is doing well with their school and or medical careers, and would like to thank any aid I receive from you guys in advance. Sincerely Al
