Hey
I was wondering if anyone here knew if the schools only look at your Pre-req. GPA, Major GPA(ALL undergrad. courses) or a combined GPA of all the sciences you took during your Bachelors.....do they give any preference of any of these GPAs. I'm really confused😕

Each school has its own method of reviewing applicants. I think all schools will look at your pre-req GPA but some may put more emphasis on that GPA while others will take your entire transcript under serious consideration (I know SUNY does). Your best bet is to contact each school to find out if they have a preference for any particular gpa as well as their method for calculating each categorical GPA (each school's policy on pre-req's or repeated classes, etc.). I think ICO focuses on the pre-req GPA as does UC Berkeley.

👍,
Jeff

PS this is all from my personal experience. Do take this with a grain of salt and--taking a cue from our favorite LeVar Burton--"don't take my word for it," find out firsthand.
