Quick question

We've had two interns, one quit and one got fired

We (interns only) are forced to pick up their calls and their work

I understand that there is little we can do if we are within our 80 hr/avg over four weeks. Which at times we have exceeded. But do we have any rights to their pay to be divided up or anything else we can do in this situation?

In a "real world job" this would never be acceptable either you hire more workers or give raises to your current emplyoees

Thanks

Actually, stuff like this happens all the time in "real world jobs." There's nothing anyone can do about it, since you can't force your boss to hire someone new!

It happened to our team too...we had to go Q2 on some rotations just to cover the workload. I think the lesson really is just that every person in your team (no matter how much of a scum) is valuable and you should really take care of each other. In fairness my friend who quit stayed on until the toughest rotations just so she wouldn't let her team down. One thing about internship is that it really brings out true colors.
