Hello all, so I basically have two questions right now.

1. Do you think it is strange that I havent heard from any schools yet if I took the DAT in mid-June and submitted everything else in May... I am getting nervous about not getting interviews already?! Please tell me I am just being silly and that I will probably hear from them soon. (I know all the schools have my stuff cause I called all of them)

2. If you are at an interview and they ask you why you want to attend their school should you/would you mention that one of your reasons is that you have a bf/gf who will be going to school/living around the area... in the case that this significant other is not just a fling and is a serious relationship... I know that some med schools allow couples to apply together, but do dental schools care about your love life at all? I know it seems weird, but it is a serious question... long distance relationships in dental school are probably close to impossible.

Concerning your second question (since I'm still waiting also), I think you'd be better off not mentioning it. If you're married or engaged, then I would talk about it in that case, but relationships, even the serious ones (and nowadays, marriages and engagements also), come and go. That said, best of luck in your relationship, but if I were you, I would focus on more concrete things; curriculum you want, livable area, early clinical, cost of tuition, preparation for specialty, et cetera.
