Are there any books to help study/prep for the OAT? I can't seem to find any!!

Is the OAT set up like the MCAT or the DAT or neither? I know the MCAT is more like reading comp to answer the questions, whilst the DAT is more from memorization. How is the OAT?

Is there a practice OAT anywhere? An online one? A free one? Anything.. I would just like to take one to see where I stand as of now.

Also, how can you figure out your OAT score if you take a practice test? Is there a score chart that helps you figure it out?

Any help is appreciated.

try breathing.

anyway yes there are practice tests all you need to do is ask your friends at google. or try browsing the following site:

http://www.opted.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3444

as for materials, there are plenty of information in previous posts. but to start you off, get the huge Kaplan practice test for MCAT - great review just ignore the practice problems. and also use a combination of the following if you wish:
- OAT destroyer, a very popular tool
- OAT achiever, it's computer based so it gives you an idea of what it's like to take a test on a computer. format is very similiar to the actual test, but achiever's questions are much harder
- Schaummn's review of: biology, chemistry, general physics, ochem.
- Exam cracker's 1001 question reviews for various subjects: easy and repetitative but it's similiar to what you'll see on the OATs.
- ARCO's GRE/GMAT math review- use this for QR
g'luck

To the OP, I am in the same boat.

I just purchased the Mcgraw-hill MCAT and I studied a bit today and so far so good. I skimmed through all subject sections and it seems solid. I will be getting OAT achiever (difficult exams but good practice), Top score, Kaplan tests (the one that retails for $34) and of course use the free opted exam. I will also use the OAT destroyer if i have time but I think that is more than sufficient for this exam.

Good luck.
