DO NOT QUOTE Please
Hey all, love seeing the advice people give on this forum, so figured i'd give it a shot as well. So I applied way late this cycle(October/November) and got 2 interviews. One post interview rejection and one wait list. I know I messed up by applying late and will be applying June 1st. Please let me know what I can improve on

GPA-3.8
MCAT- Balanced 509
Top 20 Undergrad

300 hours clinical volunteering in hospitals( ER, Surg unit, etc) +100 is what I added this year
will have 1200 hours of ER Scribing( +800 added this year) and will have over 2200 by the end of the year
Non-clinical volunteering for underprivileged schools and homeless shelter (500-600 hours) +150 this year
Shadowing done in Primary care, Neurosurgery, Cardiology( total about 80 hours) Added 30 hours this year
Test prep tutor this year-400 hours
500 hours as a Research assistant in college(no pubs)
2 years as a Residential assistant
Summa cum laude

Should I retake my MCAT? Dream school is UCLA. Here's my list for this year, let me know what you guys think.
OHSU(oregon resident)
MCW
Creighton
Jefferson
Drexel
TCMC
Georgetown
Rush
Rosalind Franklin
Quinnipiac
Oakland
UCLA
Duke
Thanks for the help. Would especially love to hear from @Goro or @gyngyn or @WedgeDawg as you guys give great advice . Thanks for the help everyone

I suggest, from your list: (and do NOT retake MCAT!)

Hey thanks @Goro. Anything else you see in my app that needs work for next cycle?

Your app looks great. The best thing you can do is apply early. Start working on getting your letters of recommendation together now so that they're ready to go. Request for transcripts to be sent ASAP. You've got a leg up with your MCAT score since there isn't a need to retake it and wait all that time for a score, so schools will start looking at you before most other applicants. Best of luck to you!

@Goro sorry to bug you. But I don't trust my advisor too much. He said my mcat was balanced but I've been reading and not sure anymore. 509(128 c/p, 127 cars, 126 b/b, 128 p/s). Is this worth a retake? I'm preliminarly signed up for the June 18 th and have been studying but was going to cancel it since people have been saying its balanced. Thanks for the help again and @jwilliams1993 for your input! Much appreciated

Do I have to reach through the electrons and smack you upside the head??? A 509 is ~31 on the old test...that's median for MD matriculants!

Do NOT retake!
