Hi there- I know that this has already popped up but once again the search isn't smiling upon me.

Scholastic Honors Question- there really doesn't appear to be anything on here saying that they have to be from college though of course I understand that it would be preferable for it to be such.
While I could write about minor honors (varsity letter which isn't very scholastic or psychology honor society) I am leaning towards mentioning science/scholarship competitions (Intel etc.) which gave me college scholarships that I did in my senior year of high school.

I'd really appreciate just your general perspectives on this-

thanks!!

hmm as impressive as that may sound (intel), it was during high school and usually med schools like to see post secondary experiences....aka post high school.

you should call ucla on monday and ask if you can put down high school experiences, but i doubt it. if not then you can just talk about your other options.

I think you can talk about anything, if it's iimportant to you and you can describe how come you felt is was a big honor to recieve (all in less than 800 stinkin' characters!) You don't even have to answer their questions, so I am sure they won't say JUST POST SECONDARY. Talk about third grade if you went to rehab cause you thought you were ******ed and wanted to kill yourself, then a teacher honored you for your history project, they don't care when it was, just that you know why it is important and can reflect on your past.

Thanks for the comments! I sent it out and came up with something- we'll see what they think of it. Thanks again and good luck!
