Hello,
I'm a pre-med undergraduate student in my sophomore year. I currently have an assignment in English asking me to interview someone from my academic community about an issue in it. The first thing that came to my mind was the MCAT, but I don't know anyone who took it or with enough knowledge about it. I need someone who can talk about his experience with the exam even if he did not make it to a medical school.
Those are the main questions:
-Did you take the MCAT and got a average or OK score? does this affect your chances in a bad way?
-Did you, or did you not do a lot of internships and volunteer works? how important do you think it is compared to the MCAT score or the GPA?
-Do you think the MCAT, a multiple choice exam, can really decide who is and who is not a good enough to be a doctor?
Thank you very much for your time.
