I have longer hair, like mid-back. I think I'm going to get it cut before my interview because it is getting too long, but I'm not gonna cut it above my shoulders. I plan on wearing my hair down. I think it looks nicer that way. It's just an interview, it's not like your in lab or anything. And I am bringing a nice leather folder type thing, with a few CVs.

Why do you need to bring smth like resume or whatever even thou adcoms know all about you .... or it can give you a huge advantage on the interview /or hurt if you don't bring smth with you !?
Thanks for answering. GL.

I usually bring a leather portfolio with my personal statement inside, along with answers to commonly asked interview questions. I review during the downtime at the interview. I also have a notepad in there so I can take notes or use it for scratch in case I have to write an essay.

For the CV, its just in case they ask, Im not gonna hand it out or anything. Also, so of them do not see your application before interviewing you, or they get the application just before interviewing you so not enough time to go over it before the interview. I would also bring a list a questions and personal statement/copy of my application just to look at.

i think paper and pen are must-haves for note-taking, etc. also, i'm going to bring head shots of myself so adcoms can see what a sexy beast i am...😀

I wouldn't worry about bringing a resume or cv. Not sure why that would help in a dental school interview. I would definitely bring something to write notes on and bring a list of questions you want to ask. They are easy to think of before the interview and after the interview, but really easy to forget while the interview is actually going on. At least from my experience. ask all the questions you can think of about the clinic. don't forget that you are also interviewing the school.

Do you think it would be annoying to bring a notepad, and constantly take notes, and not focusing on the interviewer? If I see someone writing stuff down, I would talk slower...So, do you guys think this will be bad for the interviewer because he/she has to keep waiting for you until you are done? Also, if we do bring a list of questions, would it also be annoying if we keep looking at that instead of concentrating on the person talking?

I think bringing nothing is better because the interview will be a nice and relaxing conversation. People are trying to bring it to impress or whatever... trying to look professional. For the people who have already interviewed, do people generally bring these notepads or come empty handed?

dont bring anything. The schools will give you a folder before the interview with all the info. Ive taken one of those leather binders but never opened it; i looked like i was ready to give a presentation.

ladies have purses but guys go commando

I plan to have leather portfolio with the copy of my AADSAS application including my personal statement. I think it helps to go over my submitted application before starting interview. I don't think we need CV since we already put our background information on both AADSAS and secondary applications.

I'm not suggesting to writing things down, or look at questions during the interview. I'm just saying to review things before the interview starts to keep your mind focused.

At the end of the interview, we will be given a chance to ask questions. I am planning to ask about 6 questions. Do you think this is too much? Although there is not right or wrong answer, and ever interviewer is different, do they like it when we ask that many questions? Should we ask a few or plenty? Thanks.

What is the purpose of the interview really? They know so much about how we can write, our grades, what we say to the questions they have asked in the secondary and the initial.

They are to feel us out? See if we are sincere, anyone can lie on paper but they can read us in person. I have no idea what the question are but I would think a bunch are intended to mess with us a little and judge our reaction.

I like to chuckle at the leather case carriers...LOL

Just kidding. Just bring some things to take notes. DONT take notes during the interview. This is rude. It is simply to get to know you in person. Youre not a court reporter. Write it down afterwards.

just use common sense. use the paper/pen to write down things you want to remember for your OWN use, not just to IMPRESS adcoms thats stupid.
