Questions for Med students/Residents/and Physicians.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Residents past PGY-1 will almost always have the option of obtaining a full medical license in their state which permits them to practice solo (aka. moonlighting). Some states permit PGY-1's to obtain a license.

Otherwise, besides experience, there aren't any real significant differences. What were you hoping to find?

Thanks for that info. I was wondering about moonlighting and how one would go about it.

I was unsure that, aside from experience and senority, there were any differences in abilities one could preform based upon the resident year.

Thanks.

I appreciate your response, and others.

keep in mind that many programs will not permit you to moonlight.

Perhaps many, but probably not most.
