Questions for the Dean???

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
One of the class president's at the dental school stressed to me that make sure you call the dean about every two weeks with some sort of question.

Any suggestions????

I was the school president at my dental school. If I was still there, I would tell you to call the dean more often than that if you really want to get in. I'd say probably a couple of times a week.

Just make sure you ask are really good questions like:

"How many millimeters deep should a class I amalgam prep be?"
"What's the thermal expansion % of type III dental stone?"
"Should I use 33degree denture teeth over 20degree teeth?"
"Should I really wax the cusp of carabelli?"
"True or False: Is biologic width a myth?"
"Is it gingival hyperthrophy or hyperplasia?"
"Can I just use thermafil instead of lateral?"
"Is it the thrill of the fill or the frustration of the fit"
"Why do they call them college pliers, if we use them in dental school?"
"Is the toe really the way to go?"

Just a few good ideas, good luck.

these are definitely NOT the questions you should be asking the dean if you are trying to get into dental school. he/she didnt get to be the dean for being stupid, and will absolutely know that you arent coming up with these questions for yourself...

I checked your forum profile status queues and it appears your internet sarcasm detector currently in the off position. You might want to turn that on to help you with your future SDN browsing experience.

Just leave it in the ON position permanently.

A SCHOOL PRESIDENT? or a class president?

Applicants should be in contact with the applications committee or individuals the committee has suggested.... NOT THE DEAN. they are generally too busy.

If you have discussions with the dean they should be thought of in advance with real reason, not some of the above.

Generally there are many to answer questions - students may be best.
