Hi! I have some random questions and I would appreciate any feedback! I've applied to UCB, SCCO, SUNY, NOVA, PCO and NECO. I am interviewing with PCO next week and have yet to schedule interviews with SUNY and SCCO--aiming for Jan 08.
1. How likely is a school to reject you after an interview? (addressed to anyone who has interviewed)
-My first interview is next week at PCO and I guess you can say I'm pretty nervous. I've been reading about the school and the Eye Institute...but do they ask you questions pertaining to the school itself? It seems like everyone who has interviewed here has been accepted and I'm just hoping to get into any school...
2. What do you do after finishing all 4yrs of opt school? When do you take the Board Exam?
- What's the process of actually becoming a licensed optometrist?
- If I go to school out of state (I'm from CA), do I move back home to take the exam so it's in CA?
3. How likely are acceptances in the new year (2008)? Or rather...when is it that the class gets filled?
4. Should I bring a purse to carry stuff to the interview? cell phone, wallet??
- can you take pictures on the campus tours?
5. What do you do if you are asked a question in an interview and you don't know the answer? Is it okay to say " I don't know" or try to BS some answer. How about saying, "Well that's something I hope to learn once I enter optometry school." ha
6. What kind of questions do you ask after your interview is over? Are housing questions appropriate or is it stuff related to the school...?
