My understanding is that as a US medical student, you must either do all-in or all-out for the main match.

Does anyone know whether a US medical student can apply to out-of-match psychiatry spots when SOAP is over? If so, how do we look for those programs?

oh lord, take some xanax (that is not medical advice lol)

why is this in the psychiatry forum? but yes after the SOAP, unmatched students can apply for any positions that remain open or become open due to illness, death, disability, immigration issues, match waivers etc.

Thank you for the reply.
And yeah, maybe I need some Xanax. Never been this nervous before.
If I were to watch a boiling pot, I feel like I can give names and adopt every single bubbles being created at the bottom of the pot as they were my children, and moan every time when those bubbles pop as they rise to the surface.
