I'm in a bit of a spot. A good spot, but a spot. I turned down two interviews to two schools because the funds were low and I just couldn't afford to go before the end of the year. Then I get emails from the admissions persons asking if I"m still interested and would I like to reschedule? I thought about taking it and just delaying the interview till like...late as possible next year, but course if I'm going to get in by Dec. ... then I'll be withdrawing, and I figured that'd be worse. What, were you me, would you do?

Ooo, good question. If you have been on multiple interviews thus far and feel comfortable then I would say you should be fine. However, if you have only been on a couple I would be more cautious. Delaying the interview "as late as possible" might backfire - what happens if their class starts to fill up quicker than they anticipated and you get bumped to the end of the waitlist as a result? Personally, I would cough up the funds, whether it be a loan from aunt Visa or uncle Mastercard, and go to the interviews asap.

Thank You, SP...surely appreciate your input. Have a super Thanksgiving ~

Yah, good question.... Having the same problem myself. I decided to delay. At least till Dec or Jan. Having gone to 5 and just getting 3 more... funds are seriously low. Hope I am doing the right thing but I did get some good vibes from a few of the schools thus far....

It is all numbers and who each school gets deposits from first. 🙂

Darksunshine...did I mention I get a kick out of your screenname. I went ahead and delayed one until January, and the other in February. I figure, if I have to withdraw...I have to withdraw. There's no way I can know, and of course the dental schools are used to all this uncertainty...
