I am a freshman so please forgive me!

Ok, I am in Texas but I am thinking about applying to pharmacy schools (PharmD) in Florida and Califorina- If I get my degree there and I want to move out of state, would I have to take a state board exam somewhere else ?

How many volunteer hours do you plan on doing for school?
What orgainizations are you volunteering at?

How many hours do you study?
Do yall (yall- wow, I really sound like Im from texas) know of any study tips? I am having a hard time focusing. I am still doing well, Bs, but I want As...

I know this may sound funny, but how many hours do you think the ABOVE average student watches TV? I have to do some research for a sucess skills class and thats one of the questions... since I've started school I probably watch about 2 hours a day 🙁

thanks!

Your freshman year is when you figure out how hard you personally have to work to get the grades you want. Nobody can tell you exactly how much tv you are going to have to give up, but expect to spend a decent amount of time studying especially when you start taking tough science classes, (upper div bio, physics, o chem). I am a 4th year with 3.7 at a UC, and whenever exams loom, I pretty much live in the library. It takes work, but your GPA is worth the effort. Work hard your freshman year, it is far better to start off college with a good GPA to maintain, than to try to recover in the following years. Another thing I would advise you to do is to work for A's no matter how much you dislike the class or professor. I know a lot of people who lose interest in getting a grade when the class sucks, but keep in mind that all GPA points are equally important.

Firstly, try using the search function, nearly all of the questions you asked can be answered using it.

Im not 100% but I believe you have to take a state board exam for every state you practice in.

I personally haven't started volunteering yet. (I should probably get on that)

I guess i spend around 10-15 hrs a week study, sometimes less, sometimes more

Old thread I made regarding study tips:

I dont watch much TV, but I spend alot of time on the internet (too much), but I manage to do quite well regardless

honestly, i think 2 hours a day on TV is a lot. Down time is very important but I don't think TV makes good use of it. There can't be anything on TV that is that interesting to watch for 14 hours/week and basically you just are just completely shutting of your brain. Of course it'll make it harder to focus later and turn your brain back on. Instead you could things like:

1) exercise, it's supposed to make you concentrate better and give you energy. you can even exercise WHILE you watch tv

2) take a walk/hang out with friends. you could have nice long dinners. personally, i think making friends is better than TV. and for programs that you absolutely love you can have a mini TV party for the newest episodes.

3) Find a hobby or an extracurricular

4) read for fun. this is the best way to improve your reading comprehension.

5) for that much time, you can could run errands and even dilly dally while you are out.

6) etc

I just think that level of TV is a waste time with how low quality programming is nowadays , you could be studying or working at job or you could do something that would improve your life. Or you could even watch a movie and learn something as compared to the reality trash.

I never watched TV as a undergrad (plus no access to cable in my dorm). but unfortunately i too would waste time on the internet

My two cents
