Hey everyone,
Would someone be willing to take a brief look at my stats and tell me if it would even be worth it for me to apply to the Texas Schools? I'm OOS (Oklahoma, so at least regional?) Preferably looking for someone with knowledge of their acceptance process. I also need a little help narrowing down my list if someone would be so kind as to help me with that. I can post my information here or I can PM them. Not sure what the best way to do that is.

Also, anyone with knowledge of Nova and Lecom please help.

Love,

Hi! I am an Oklahoman that has looked into similar. Unfortunately, things aren't great. Texas has agreements to favor students from adjacent states that do not contain dental students when it comes to OOS interviews and admissions, so not Oklahomans. There may be some favoritism because we are in the same cultural region, but that's only speculation for me.

University of Houston has only interviewed like 1 OOS student in the last couple years as far as I know. San Antonio has about 1.5% OOS acceptance. A&M Dallas/Baylor is a bit better. I would encourage you to check out some of the excel spreadsheets that people have put together on this forum that let you look at OOS friendliness and competitiveness.

I applied to Dallas and was rejected without interview almost immediately, but I didn't exactly have the perfect application package put together.
