Hi guys,
I am currently a 3rd year Biochemistry student at UBC and I have a few questions regarding the Waterloo Optometry application.
First, the Waterloo website seems to stress that a full courses load is necessary for admission, is this true? I currently have 93 credits over my 3 years of studies but 9 credits were taken in the summer. I have full course load in my first year (10 courses) but my second and third had 9 courses each. I am wondering how many people there are out there that were given interviews but did not have a full course load every year.
Second, how does AP credits work? I have scored a 4 on AP bio which meant i was exempt from the first year biology courses required at UBC (bio 140, bio 121), I believe these are also pre-reqs required for Waterloo Optometry. How do I report this on the application? And are AP marks converted into percentage and counted towards for admission average?
Any help would be appreciated , thank you!
