Hello,

My situation is:

I graduated spring 09.
GPA: 3.13/4.00
BCPM GPA: 3.05/4.00
I haven't taken MCAT yet, but I expect to get at least 30 up to 36.
2 semesters of volunteer at hospital
some research experience

My question is
Do I have good chance of getting into SMP?
What schools provide some of the good SMPs? (I live in Illinois, so any schools with good SMP around Illinois would be nice)
Is it really hard to do well in SMP? I know that you have to compete with med school students.

Thanks

I believe Loyola and Rosalyn Franklin are the good ones near you. Your gpa is not too bad for some of the SMPs, but I believe Gerogetown is super difficult (average I think 3.3, 32-33). I'm sure it is more than numbers, but you def should aim for a 32+ w/ a 3.0 GPA. Hope that helps....
