For people currently in UoP, I have a couple of questions about the High School Advantage Program at Dugoni School of Dentistry:

How many students apply to the 2+3 program? 3+3 program?
How many students get accepted into the 2+3 program? 3+3 program?
How many students complete the program?

If you fail to complete the 2+3 program or 3+3 program, then what happens to you? Do you get kicked out? or pushed to the 4+3 program?

How do I get started with the application?

I tried to call the school a couple of times, but the line is always busy. I did send email the school though.

For any current students in the program, can you give me some advice with the application/interview process? I would love to hear about your personal experience!

really? I've combed through the website again and again, but there are only one or two pages on the requirements and such. Can you post a link that would answer my questions? thanks.

I dont know what the stats are on people applying and getting accepted, but you do don't specifically apply to for each program. You basically just apply for the pre-dent program and they will place you in the track based off of your stats. I'm not sure if this changed, but this is how the application was when I applied a few of years ago.

If you can't complete the program within the 2 years, you just extend to take a 3rd year, and if you still don't meet the requirements then you extend to the 4th year. You don't get kicked out. You just have to take more classes and try to meet the GPA requirement.

When they open their application, just apply indicating that you want to major in pre-dentistry.

I'm assuming this is referring to the app/interview process for dental school? Since I applying this cycle, I can't say much on this yet. However students in the program are guaranteed interviews if they meet the requirements such as taking the required classes, meeting a certain GPA, and getting a decent score on the DAT.

my answers are in the quoted box bolded. hope this helps some.
