Hey
So I've been trying to find doctors to shadow during this year before I apply for the fall of 2020. I needed the year to save money for the application cycle. I did get the opportunity to meet with a doctor, she doesn't allow shadowing because of her patients privacy, but I am at a blank on what to ask her.

So my question is what are some good questions to ask to get an understanding of her specialty?

I am very thankful for the help. Also if you don't want to help please just ignore instead of replying with negativity. It is a waste of both of our time.

Enjoy your time off if you have it!

If you can't shadow her and see what her day is like, and how she approaches the practice of Medicine, it's not worth dealing with her.

Ask her is she can recommend someone else to shadow.

If you insist, ask her:
Why Medicine?
Why her specialty?
Where did she go to med school? Why there?
How did she decide on where to do her residency?
If she had to do it all over again, would she do it? If not, why not?

Thanks for the insight. As I get very few opportunities to even talk to let alone shadow doctors I do not want to write her off completely. She has been the first doctor to actually give me a shot so I'm gonna take every opportunity I can.
