Hey,
I'm new to these forums, and came here for help with problems I endured.

Heres my situation:

I'm 17, and work at a hospital in dietary. Once I turn 18 on Valentines Day, Iam going to put in a transfer to Pharmacy, to become a Tech. Last Week, I applied at Monroe Community College for the Pre-Pharmacy Program they offered. Anyone who applies gets accepted their, so its not like theres a overwelming deciding factor that I cant get accepted.
Well, with this all being said, I plan on applying to Pharmacy school when my 2 years of pre-pharm is over with. The problems that I think I face now, is that my high school scores will be a factor when I apply to the Pharmacy School. Will my high school scores be presented to the school that Iam applying for in 2 years? Or just my College Scores. Right now, my grades are in the low 80s, besides EMT-D which is 85-87, which is a college course offered by my high school offering 6 credits.
I plan on not partying that much during college, and making pre-pharm courses my priority. I bought the Kaplan Pcat book, and plan on digging into it to prepare 2 years in advance, just to get familiar with it.

Heres a short list of my classes I'm taking now in High School
Pre Calc
Physics
EMT-D (Gpa 85-87, MCC Credit)

It would be helpful if any of these classes would be on my college transscipt when I apply to a school like St. John Fisher, or University of Buffalo.

Thanks alot,

Joe

hey joe -- i wish my high school grades, sat scores, etc. was considered when applying to pharmacy schools now ... but for the most part, they are not, except for some of my AP classes (which I received college credit from) ... out of all the schools which I applied for, none have asked for college transcripts, so after you graduate, you will be starting with a clean slate
I say just do well in your prereqs, and you won't have any trouble getting in ...

Thanks alot penguines for the information, you just made my day 🙂
